When I first got my ATS-V I knew that I wanted to unleash the full potential from it. Being in the automotive industry as a Cadillac Technician I knew what I wanted and what was realistic. I had sent three emails to three different companies one morning regarding their process for tuning my LF4. LITERALLY within five minutes I had an email response from Scott, and this was at 6 a.m. my time. We went back and forth that whole day until around 8 p.m., me asking questions, him answering them. 30 emails later I made my decision to purchase the Tapout package. Anyone that will take time out of their day to respond to my questions ATTENTIVELY and without expecting anything in return will always receive my business. I hadn’t even bought anything and he was responding like I was a longtime customer.
The process was straightforward and the instructions were extremely clear with the remote tune process. Anytime I had questions Scott was there to answer them and help me through it. The White Belt package is definitely the best way to start. It took about one week from stock to Tapout tuned. Whenever I would send Scott my log file I would expect it to take some time for him to go over it, but NOPE, within two hours he would have a revision for me with details on what was changed.
I had a weird hesitation in my car’s shifting towards the end of the revisions and Scott and I went back and forth brainstorming what it could be. He had me play around in HP Tuners with the stock transmission calibration. Preface: I know enough but not nearly as much as him. I found what worked best for my car’s shift scheduling and he more than gladly put my changes into my Tapout tune file so that I would have one complete package. I have since asked him what are my next steps to achieve more and he has laid out a clear path for my next steps. I will only purchase my LF4 performance parts from Tapout Tuning and will continue to do so for as long as I own this car. I cannot wait for what’s to come and the potential that Scott will uncover from this platform. He is so passionate, knowledgeable, and has the best customer service skills I have ever come across in a small business.
