Description
*These fit all LF4/LF3 engines in 2016 through 2019 ATS-Vs/CTS-V Sports, and 2022 and newer CT4-V Blackwings – SOLD IN PAIRS*
Introducing PWR’s 2016-2019 Cadillac ATS-V / CTS-V Sport and 2022 and newer CT4-V Blackwings Intercooler Bricks – the ultimate cooling solution to increase power for your ATS-V, CTS- V Sport or CT4-V Blackwing, proudly handcrafted and TIG welded in the USA. Our bar and plate coolers are designed with Louvered R-Fins and internal turbulators, this same technology is also used in motorsports like F1, ensuring the highest standards of quality and durability. Compared to traditional tube and fins, our bar and plate coolers offer improved charge air heat dissipation and strength in a much smaller package. It’s no wonder why our intercooler bricks are an easy choice for enthusiasts looking for the best performance upgrades for their Cadillac ATS-V, CTS-V Sport and CT4-V Blackwing.
With PWR’s Intercooler bricks, you will experience reduced intake air temperatures, resulting in colder, denser air flow. By reducing the amount of heat-soaked air going into your engine, you will see higher and more consistent horsepower, allowing for easier tuning and better overall health for your engine!
PWR’s Intercooler Bricks are designed to be a drop-in replacement for the OEM Cadillac bricks in the 3.6L turbocharged V6 engine that comes in the 2016-2019 ATS-V/CTS-V Sport and 2022 and newer CT4-V Blackwings. With a perfect fit and easy performance gains, our intercooler brick is the perfect choice for anyone wanting to increase the potential of their Cadillac ATS-V and CT4-V Blackwing. Don’t settle for stock cooling components – Upgrade with confidence and experience the unfair advantage in cooling technology with PWR’s Cadillac ATS-V and CT4-V Blackwing Intercooler Bricks.
Test Results
Our ‘before’ tests were done using the stock intercooler cores, at 76° with barometric pressure of 28.89. Engine coolant temperature was 181° at the beginning of the pull. Manifold air temperature started at 120 degrees and ended at 116°, for a decrease of 4°. Peak boost with WGDC of 99% was 26.4 psi with peak power of 636 whp.
‘After’ tests were done using the PWR intercooler cores, at 79° with barometric pressure of 28.88. Engine coolant temperature was 180° at the beginning of the pull. Manifold air temperature started at 122 degrees and ended at 111°, for a decrease of 11°, which was 175% more than OEM. Peak boost with WGDC of 99% was 25.9 psi, with peak power of 638 whp. This was 0.5 psi less than with stock intercooler bricks. Boost is a measure of restriction, so this proves the new cores are less restrictive than OEM.
The most interesting comparison of all was when we compare IAT versus MAT at the end of the dyno run. For the stock cores, IAT was 85° and MAT was 115°, or 30° above intake air temperature. For the PWR cores, IAT measured 90° and MAT was 110°, or 20° above intake air temperature. This is a very significant performance improvement.
In summary, we found these cores to be a nice improvement over OEM, in every category we could measure using our DynoJet 224xLC dynamometer. Considering all the above data, we believe these cores will perform very well on the street and at the track. We envision less heat soak, lower MATs and reduced knock retard for every ATS-V owner!
Note: These bricks come as a set of two.
