Module Description:

The DTC Assassin™ is a plug and play troubleshooting tool that will clear DTCs on Global B vehicles. This module includes a user activated, momentary contact pushbutton for the function. It is not an automated ‘defeat’ device. Includes OBD2 passthrough connector, allowing you to also connect HP Tuners, Aeroforce scan gauge, MDI2, etc. without needing to unplug the DTC Assassin™.

Operation:

Hold the red Activation Button for at least two full seconds. This will initiate a diagnostic session with the ECM, TCM, ABS and BCM. After communication is established successfully a DTC clear message will be sent. Note that this is the same procedure used by the dealership scan tools to clear DTCs.

Special Note:

If you ever notice that your DTC Assassin™ fails to clear your codes after holding the Activation Button for two full seconds, it may be necessary to disconnect other devices that are sharing the OBD2 port (i.e. HP Tuners, other scan tools, scan gauges, etc.).

DTC Assassin™ may not be able to clear codes when HP Tuners VCM Scanner is logging data. If you need to clear a code when HP Tuners is running, stop the logging, use DTC Assassin™, then restart scanning.

2020 and newer Chevrolet Corvette C8 (Global B)
