One of the main limiting factors of the ATS-V has been its OEM fuel system. The stock system consists of a low-pressure electrical pump in the fuel tank and a high-pressure mechanical pump driven by the driver’s side exhaust camshaft. Stock ATS-V fuel systems are already starting to have difficulty keeping up by 18 pounds of boost and 500 whp. We see the high pressure drop off on every ATS-V we tune as soon as boost is increased. The more boost we add, the worse the problem gets.
By adding our low-pressure fuel pump, you can provide yourself extra padding and safety when tuning your ATS-V for higher horsepower numbers than stock. This system provides a much stronger low-pressure fuel pump and will increase the low-pressure fuel system volume. It will help prop up the entire fuel system, compounding the gains of the soon to be released aftermarket high fuel pressure fuel pump and/or fuel cam. As a bonus, no special tuning is needed to run this LPFP.
Check out the graph below to see how our LPFP and HPFP with fuel cam can easily maintain full pressure at 23 psi and 600 whp on E85.
